HEMENWAY’S BRINGS SUMMER MUSIC SERIES TO THE CAPITOL CITY
PROVIDENCE, RI, May 5, 2014 - Summer in the Capitol city is just around the corner and Hemenway’s restaurant is welcoming back its Summer Music Series on South Main. This year’s lineup features a number of regional bands including Gin Mill Jane, Lydia Harrell, The Lance Houston Jazz Quintet, Bohemian Noir, Brian Plautz and Sungwon Kim. Beginning Wednesday, June 4th, the Summer Music Series takes place most Wednesdays and Thursdays. Guests are welcome to enjoy fresh, local seafood and seasonally inspired cocktails, while listening to the sounds of these talented musicians.

In addition to the Summer Music Series, Hemenway’s is also offering a Power Lunch Special, every Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. Those working in the Capitol City can escape the everyday lunch routine and dine at Hemenway’s for a lunch of decadent proportions. The Power Lunch Special includes an appetizer and entrée for only $22, as well as a takeaway Hemenway’s-branded cup of French Pressed locally roasted coffee and a freshly baked cookie.

AVVIO'S CHICKEN MILANESE
6 oz. panko breaded chicken
1 oz. extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
1/4 oz. shaved red onion
2 oz. halved grape tomatoes
1/4 oz. shaved grana padano
4 fz. canola oil
salt & pepper
1 1/2 oz. arugula
2 oz. lemon butter sauce (room temp. see below)
lemon butter sauce: 4oz. of butter with 2 oz. of lemon juice
Heat canola oil in a large saute pan.
Add chicken to hot oil and pan fry until it is golden brown on both sides.
Remove chicken from pan and onto a sizzle platter, finish in oven if needed.
In a stainless steel bowl, mix arugula, EVOO, salt, pepper, tomato, and red onion.
On large oval plate, add 2 oz. of lemon butter sauce (room temp).
Remove chicken from oven and place on large oval plate, place arugula salad over chicken.
Garnish with shaved grana..
